Diseases that cause you hair loss may fall in hormonal diseases, medical conditions, and diseases caused by drugs used to treat any disease, etc. Hormonal causes can be treated by controlling the flow of important hormones in the human body that are leading to the disturbing hair production cycle of hair follicles.

Different Medical conditions can also be treated as they also include some hormonal reasons like alopecia areata and different infections and skin problems. And many of the diseases cause your hair temporarily, which includes diseases caused by drugs used to treat any disease such as cancer, arthritis, depression, and high blood pressure. These remain shedding your hairs within the time frame of the treatment.

Trichotillomania

Trichotillomania is a kind of mental disorder. It is an irresistible urge to pull out your hair. The patients of Trichotillomania remain busy in repeatedly pulling out their hair. The patient finds himself/herself unable to resist against pulling out the hairs from any part of the body hair, including eyelashes, nose hairs, eyebrows etc. Most commonly, in this case, patients are found in pulling out their scalp hairs.

Ringworm of the scalp

Ringworm on the scalp causing hair loss is a very common disease in children especially. It is easily transmitted to one person to another i.e., easily diffused or spread as from one person to another. If you are not properly treating the disease, it may lead to complete baldness as well.

Some cancer treatments

Different medicine and treatments of many diseases can also be the cause of hair loss problem. These diseases include Cancer, Arthritis, Depression, Heart problems, and High blood pressure, etc. Treatment like chemotherapy and Radiation therapy are the example that leads to hair fall problem irrespective of the age, gender, and gene of the patient of cancer. These hair loss problems are mostly temporary and remain as long as the disease remains and treatment to prevent diseases exercise.

Illness

Hair loss can also be byproducts of any severe illness such as major surgery, high fever, severe infection, or flu-like minor issues. Most of the time hair loss can occur after a disease or its treatment and last for temporary and many times permanently. The manifestation may be complete or partial baldness, and sometimes hair shed in a uniform style.

Scalp infections

Different types of scalp infection also cause hair loss. Although once infections are treated, hair generally grows back, if the infection is permanent like any skin infection, hair loss could also be the permanent partner of your life. The Infection, such as ringworm, can invade the hair and skin of your scalp, leads to hair loss.

Alopecia areata

Alopecia areata occurs when the immune system of the human body attacks hair follicles. Hair follicles are mainly programmed to maintain hair production cycles on the scalp with the help of flow of different hormones in the body. If the flow of hormones increase and decrease in your body that leads to disturbing the immune system. Consequently, hair follicles face disorder in their hair production cycle. Resultantly, hair starts to grow less as compare to hair shed, which leads to hair thinning and sometimes complete baldness.

Thyroid

As Thyroid glands help to regulate hormones level in your body. Any disorder in Thyroid glands consequently leads to disturbing your immune system and disturbed immune system hair cycle from human scalp follicles. That’s how Thyroid disease causes hair loss problem. Moreover, Thyroid disease can lead the patient to face smaller and harmless disorders like goiter to deadly cancer. Most of the times thyroid disease happens due to overproduction of thyroid hormone in the human body instead of reduced production.
